	NEWS IN BRIEF: October 2008 GDS moves into the UAE. Through its partnership with Constructive Technologies GDS has accepted its first commission utilising Graitec’s Advance Concrete 3D modelling and rebar detailing technology. September 2008 GDS can now offer 3D modelling as part of its rebar detailing solution using Graitec’s advance Concrete system. GDS is proud to be the first user of Advance Concrete to UK, US and Canadian standards of Detailing. April 2008 HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY When we started GDS was a pioneer of offshore rebar detailing. Our unique approach to supporting our offshore detailing teams with on-continent project coordinators has set a standard throughout the industry. March 2008 Role out of new Project and Business Management System. The new system will help us better integrate our services with our Clients business processes.Once the system has been proven we will also be providing a leasing option for the technology. February 2008 GDS Michigan office opens GDS announces the opening of it’s latest Project Management office in Lansing Michigan. Troy Self has joined the Company as Senior Project Manager for the Lansing Office. Troy has over 20 years experience in the rebar industry. January 2008 GDS announces the opening of its latest detailing office in Bangalore. This is our third plant that will provide much needed capacity. Capacity for the group is expected to double by the end of 2008. Quality -We use the latest industry software including  RebarCAD and AutoCAD As a baseline our drawings are detailed to US ACI Standards and CRSI industry guidelines. Additionally our unique Project instructions  specifically created for each client location and project ensure details reflect regional requirements. -Our QA system provides a multi stage process that includes 2 or more of the following internal checks depending on the project:- Self Check Peer Review Safety Check Coordinator Affordability Our standard rate system for any project from 0.5 to 500 000 tons means the GDS deliverable is affordable. We have different styles of detailing that reflect the size of project to minimise your detailing costs.  Knowledge Our team core knowledge base extends for twenty five years of global methods of construction specifically:- 25 years UK experience in rail, highway infrastructure, Nuclear, water treatment and commercial building structures. 15 years experience in the US Canadian and Caribbean rebar detailing industry including regional expertise of West and East Coast methods of working. 10 years experience on Middle Eastern projects covering UAE, The Lebanon and Egypt. Our active involvement in organisations such as The ACI and CRSI allows us to stay current with the most up to date thinking within the industry
